Okumura Partners Limited is a specialist international legal recruitment agency based in the UK that focuses on recruiting qualified lawyers for law firms based in London and also in the Offshore jurisdictions (including the Channel Islands (Jersey and Guernsey), Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, as well as Offshore firm offices in Hong Kong, Singapore and other locations).
Okumura Partners was founded by Ken Okumura in 2020, after 10 years working as a lawyer in London and at an Offshore law firm in the BVI, followed by 7 years in legal recruitment at leading international recruitment firm Robert Walters in London.
Ken’s London knowledge is vast, having worked at three very different law firms in London when he was still a practising lawyer and then having recruited for scores more after he moved into legal recruitment. He has advised hundreds of lawyers on their career plans, their options and what firms (and types of firm) might be right for them.
On the Offshore side of things, Ken is one of only two recruiters in the Offshore legal recruitment market who has also been a qualified lawyer and worked for some time Offshore. He is well-known in the Offshore market and has an excellent network of client contacts and candidates.
We strongly believe that recruitment should work for all involved – the candidate, the client (and us!). As such, we take a professional, discreet and consultative approach to candidates and clients alike. We understand the sensitivity involved in seeking a new position and that it can often be a significant life decision for the candidate and, potentially, a significant investment for the client.
